The United States Department of Health and Human Services has selected the WV CARDIAC Project as their 2007 recipient of the Innovations in Prevention Award in the public sector category. The award was presented by acting Surgeon General, Stephen Galson, MPH, MD. at the National Prevention Summit in Washington D.C. Dr. William Neal, founder of the CARDIAC Project accepted the award on behalf of the CARDIAC team.
